The Amercan Dream or The Christian Mandate?

Seeking the Kingdom of God first is a matter that requires great faith from individuals who truly love the Lord and desire for His glroy to be seen above all else. We must have the mindset of John the Baptist when he said, He must increase, but I must decrease. The very thought of decrease never seems to enter the mind of the average Christian today and this is largely due to the fact that the American Dream gets more time, attention, zeal, resources and love. The love of money truly is the root of all evil.
Coveteousness has plagued our land and unfortunately is has not left out the average Christian home. We have been deceived into thinking that the most important thing is to teach our children how to make a living while failing to teach them how to make a life.
We are living is a Foolish Generation that is doing all it can to remove God from the minds of all. According to the scripture, The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. (Ps. 53:1). The Humanist Manifesto claims that No deity will save us, we must save ourselves. To a true Christian this kind of thinking is quite alarming, but allow me to elavate the matter even further. This is the mindset of much public education today. Christ has been removed from our schools while everything else is permitted in. The average Christian has a greater knowledge of their favorite college team's statistics than they do of what is being taught in the classroom.
Just what is being taught in many universities today? Well, you do not have to look far or hard to see Marxism, Communism, Socialism, Humanism, Feminism, Pluralism, and Multiculturalism to name a few. A recent college government text book I looked at was filled with "Bush Bashing" and failed miserably in its attempt to teach government. One did not have to look far to see this, the cover was sufficient, it read; Our American Democracy. The last time I looked we were supposed to have a Constitutional Republic as our form of governement.
Much more could be said about these matters, but allow me to take just another moment to encourage you to consider Christian education for your children. Ground them in the Word of God and be faithful to pass on the great truths you have learned. Choose a good Christian school / college and support their endeavors. Do not let this world's system deceive you. What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?Back
